Tonkatsu is one of those dishes you’d never guess to be Japanese! It’s a sort of pork Schnitzel, served with a good dollop of Japanese mustard and a delicious sweetish Tokatsu sauce. Super simple to make and absolutely delicious!
The inspiration for this recipe came from visiting Tonki restaurant in Tokyo, in this episode of my ‘Anne’s Asian Adventures’ show.
This recipe was created as part of my “Recipes for Staying Home” show, to flatten the curve during the 2020 Covid-19 outbreak. The concept is to inspire people to cook comfort dishes at home – I show basic recipes that can be adapted with all kinds of other ingredients. You can watch the episode here.
