Thai Bouchée à la Reine
My ‘Anne’s Asian Adventures’ have inspired all kinds of dishes, including a take on a very traditional Luxembourgish dish: Paschtéitchen, or bouchée à la reine. A vol-au-vent puff pastry case with a creamy chicken and mushroom filling. It is usually served with rice or chips, and it’s really one of my very favourite Luxembourgish comfort dishes.
I’ve given this lovely dish a Thai twist – filling it with a creamy Thai green curry, using chicken and mushroom, just like in the original. I really think it works very well – the buttery, crispy vol-au-vent pastry totally complements the fiery Thai green curry.
Lots of Luxembourgers might be a bit sceptical about this crazy fusion dish, but it holds a very special place in my heart – combining a homely dish from my childhood with the flavours of my favourite travel destination in the world.
Gudde Moien Anne, nodreigelech alles Guddes an Erfoleg gir dat neit Joer.
Ech wiederhuelen mech awer ech wier wirklech frou wann Dir är Rezepter och op letzbg. oder franzeisch geift publizeieren. Merci am Viraus.
Léift Gislaine,
et deet mer leed dass Englesch net sou ideal fir iech ass. Leider hellt et mir schon enorm vill Zäit fir dat hei alles op Englesch ze schreiwen an ze publizeieren, dohier ass et leider wierklech net meiglech fir mech och nach Iwwersetzungen unzebidden. Ech roden iech den Text ze kopéieren an an Google Translate ze iwwersetzen (do kritt dir wierklech ganz gutt Resultater). Oder dir kennt meng Bicher kaafen, dei op Däitsch an zum Deel och op Franzéisch ze kreien sinn. Do hätt dir dann direkt alles an enger Sproch.
Léif Gréiss,
Anne
