Beef tataki is a bit like a Japanese capaccio. Raw beef served with a sweet and salty Japanese sauce, alongside pickled ginger and fresh radish. I like to sear my beef all around, to give it a bit more robust flavour. I also often cut the beef into small cubes after searing, and serve it like a seared beef tartare. Very simple, easy to prepare ahead and definitely very yummy!
