In this episode I’m cooking a dish from my favourite destination of all times: Thailand. Thai food is amazing and very popular around the world. But, cooking Thai food at home isn’t that easy. It’s pretty challenging to get the flavours right, as you have to carefully balance sweet, salty, spicy and sour elements to make it perfect. But, don’t worry! Today I’m showing you a foolproof BBQ dish that tastes like Bangkok streetfood: Thai chicken skewers, infused with lots of fish sauce and kaffir lime leaves. It’s super easy to make and will be the star at your summer barbecue! Find the full recipe here.
I’m also making a punchy cocktail to go with the skewers: a lychee and kaffir lime vodka cocktail, one of my favourite summer drinks! Find the full recipe here.
For more info on the ingredients you can consult my Thai ingredients list here, where I’m describing the products in detail and also tell you my favourite brands (which you can buy in Luxembourg).
This is a recipe from my cookbook ‘Flavours of Home’.
This episode is part of my “Staycation Recipes” series, which aims to get people to travel through the food they cook. Each episode is inspired by a destination that I’ve visited in the past. This episode is about Thailand, where I’ve been over 12 times and even filmed 4 episodes of my “Anne’s Asian Adventures” show, which you can watch here.
