In this Zero Waste video, I’m showing you how to give a used vanilla bean pod a second life. Simply rinse the vanilla bean, dry it and stick it in a jar of sugar (for vanilla sugar) or a bottle of vodka (for vanilla extract) – leave to infuse for at least a week and you’ll have the best homemade vanilla flavour boosters ever! Perfect in your baking, porridge or drinks!
