This episode evolves around one very popular theme: baking. I’m making two super traditional Luxembourgish bakes in my kitchen: Rieslingspaschtéit and Bamkuch. I never thought I could make either of them at home, but it is possible indeed!
First up: my take on a classic Rieslingspaschtéit, a meat pie with white wine jelly from Luxembourg. I’m adding some warming Indian spices to this beloved classic – I hope this won’t cause too much controversy!
I’m also making my favourite cake in the world: Bamkuch. My version is super moist and bursting with rum and apricot flavours.
In between the recipes, I visit the Parc Merveilleux in Bettembourg – my favourite theme park as a child, and I go help out at a special needs’ bakery in Mondorf.
