Take a bite out of Luxembourg!
In my third cookbook, I explore the cuisine of my homeland, giving traditional Luxembourg dishes an original twist and cooking with local, seasonal ingredients.
From dainty Mettwurscht Muffins to hearty Judd mat Gaardebounen cannelloni to comforting Kachkéis fondue and festive Bamkuch squares, my recipes bestow beloved classics with a unique touch.
This is Luxembourg cuisine like you’ve never tasted it before!
Available in English, German and French on Letzshop.

I was so excited to get your book and love it. I was, however, very disappointed that you didn’t have a recipe for my sons favourite “8’s” despite having two photos of it 🙁
Hi Tania, you can actually use the recipe of the pastéis de nata to make Aachtecher 🙂 Simply roll out a puff pastry dough and shape it into the shape of an 8 (do this on a baking tray), then pour in the custard from the Pastéis recipe and bake the same way as the Pastéis.
Why is the Luxembourgish cookbook not available in Luxembourgish?
Hi JP, since we are such an international country all cookbooks in Luxembourg are published in other languages. Look at Ketty Thull (originally in German, now also in French) and other big names. It’s just too nieche to publish in Luxembourgish. For my book, we have decided to publish it in three languages: German, French and English, which was already a huge project… And, since we Luxembourgers speak all three languages, we now have plenty of choice when it come to my books.
Yes, however it is disappointing to also not have a book representing the country in the official language of the country to preserve the culture.

Hello, I am so sorry that there’s no recipe for the 8 in the book. To be honest, it never occured to me that people would want to make these pastries themselves… But I now realize that it would have been a fantastic idea to put the recipe in. So, I am working on an 8 recipe and promise to put it online once it’s been tried and tested!
I hope you enjoy the recipes in the book. Happy cooking.
