So, I’m super excited to announce that I’ve been selected as a speaker at this year’s Food Blogger Connect conference. FBC will take place in London from the 6th til the 8th June. Get ready for the biggest, wildest and most interesting food blogging conference in Europe!
My slot will be Friday afternoon at 4pm, when I will be talking about spotting a niche and taking a blog to full-blown multi-media project. Mainly, I’ll be explaining how I managed to get a book deal and how I then went about to create my own TV show. I hope to inspire other food bloggers to reach for the stars and make their dreams happen.
It’s a real great honour to be speaking at FBC, as fellow speakers include culinary heroes Yotam Ottolenghi and Sami Tamimi (who will be talking about their food inspiration and answer questions from the audience), Irish superstar Donal Skehan (who will be teaching a food photography and styling workshop), and food TV star Nichola Smith and producer Kelley Ralph (who will be talking about their experiences working together on Nichola’s first TV Food Series “Red, Hot & Yummy” for Food Network).
I first attended FBC back in summer 2010, and it was a life-changing experience. Basically, I was so inspired by what I learned at this conference and by the passionate people I met that I decided to quit my job and start my freelance career in food journalism. You can read about my excitement back then here.
I really can’t wait for this year’s FBC! It’s a great opportunity to meet fellow food bloggers from around the world, learn new tips and tricks, be inspired and have a great time amongst fellow foodies. So, don’t think twice! Come join us at FBC! You can have a look at the exciting programme here, and register for your tickets here.
