If a dish is called after a town, you should really eat it in that town! So when we stopped for filming in Braga, it was clear that I had to eat bacalhau a Braga in its birthplace. The dish is composed of fried bacalhau nestled between crispy potato slices, soft onions, and a rich, garlicky olive oil sauce garnished with red peppers and parsley. We ended up eating it in the little no-frills Tasquinha do Fujacal, surrounded by happy locals in a quiet neighbourhood just off the main streets of central Braga.
